risual engaged with a housing organisation who currently own and manage around 10,000 homes across a southern city. The client’s website is used by their customer base, allowing users to self-serve with functions such as managing payments, checking balances, and booking repairs. Furthermore, the website contains useful links to other third-party sites.

Although the website provided a organisation-critical service, the housing organisation found themselves with gaps when migrating their whole web environment infrastructure to Azure. Internal teams approached management with the gaps but were unsure of what exact technologies they would need when approaching the market.

risual offered to help by completing a Service Design Review to understand the future of the web environment service and what crucial things it needed to include. risual Managed Services (rMS) DevOps and Service Delivery teams worked together on several joint client workshops to gather information on the existing service and gain a technical understanding of what the solution needed to be.

A never produced before document was created for the Service Design and we even included our Partner Requirement Summary allowing for further elements to be added in with the support of our partners. Allowing for more capabilities to be shared with the client.

But what benefits did the client see?

  • The housing association now understands what their requirements are from end to end, covering the full service.
  • The client’s documented service design review aligns with best practices and client requirements.
  • The client can make a full informed decision as they have all the information at their fingertips.
