A local regional government body using a legacy system to operate was experiencing communication and collaboration issues. The organisation wished to achieve a modern workplace and support employees in the process of adopting new technology. The client decided to adopt Microsoft 365 technology and develop a more modern workplace, but employees lack knowledge of how to use all the features offered to them. Additionally, the government body was having difficulties deploying new work devices connected to the cloud for each employee.
Our task
As risual has been working with the council on past operations, we offered advisory services to create designs and implement the technologies required. Microsoft 365 implementation, modern work devices and end user adoption training were required to achieve the clients’ goals and maximise the value of Microsoft 365.
Endpoint Manager
Risual migrated the existing Skype for Business data to the modern Microsoft Teams, now enabling all employees to build effective collaboration and communications using the apps and tools in Microsoft 365. Microsoft Endpoint Manager was used used to solve the device and application management issues. The council used features such as Autopilot, to automate device deployment and updates, avoiding repetitive tasks for IT administrators.
Azure
Data protection and security are key, so to ensure this project was as smooth as possible, Azure Active Directory was integrated to provide secure management over user access and control and Microsoft Azure Password Protection. Further features such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) are to be included in this operation.
Results
- The platform is unified with all tools included under one connected cloud, saving time and effort for employees.
- Security measures are enhanced with Microsoft cloud, Endpoint Manager and other advanced features.
- Employees benefited from expert training and support to learn how to use each solution to its best.
- A modern workplace is developing for the council, and employees can now work under better conditions with the right level of support.
