risual were engaged to deliver a comprehensive Windows 10 and Office 365 project to support a non-ministerial government organisation as they moved away from fixed, inflexible on-premises services. Existing services lacked the capability needed for an organisation facing increasing regulatory investigations, limiting staff from being able to work in collaboration on some of the largest corporate competition and criminal cases.
The organisation also faced increasing security compliance and governance regulations, which could not be met through their existing on-premises IT services.
risual worked closely with all areas of the non-ministerial government organisation to deliver a secure and highly adaptable Windows 10, Office 365 and mobile device solution, which met the overall organisational aims of the Department whilst also providing comprehensive levels of security, meeting NCSC guidelines.
In achieving success on the project, risual engaged with all areas of the organisation, providing comprehensive training to all areas of the organisation, including those with additional training needs.
Notable, measured benefits achieved includes:
Flexible working – Prior to the migration, the end users did not have access to remote devices and investigations slowed down during inclement weather/industrial action. There is now substantial evidence that users are fully adopting IT services, even when working from home.
Increased security – using the latest Windows 10 operating system and implementing the security features of Office 365 and the Enterprise Mobility Suite has helped the organisation to achieve their audited security baseline.
