Video/Audio Playlist template for Microsoft Lists

A new Microsoft List template, Playlist, has been released by Microsoft. This new template gives users the ability to create, maintain and share audio or video file collections.

Before the introduction of this template a user would have to create a SharePoint page and add web parts to it and point them to the location of the files. With this Playlist functionality the user just merely adds the files to a playlist and then users that have access to the playlist can view/listen to the files in order or choose which file to view/listen to.

Playlists can be created from two areas, directly from using the Microsoft List template or directly from Stream. Playlists can be created to maintain a collection of Team meeting recordings, podcasts, staff training videos or even snippets from social events.
