Microsoft is extending its Viva product portfolio in 2023 with a new Teams App named Pulse. This is part of the Insights employee experience applications and tools set range.
Viva Pulse provides managers or team leaders a solution that allows them to schedule and request confidential feedback from their team members. It will be complimented with a library containing a rich set of questions that have been researched to assist and direct managers to ask the right question to their team members. Responses are sentimentally analysed to provide the managers with key data analytics which then feed into possible next steps that can be actioned including any recommended learning suggested based on the employees’ responses.
Managers will also be allowed to aggregate all the responses which will automatically disassociate any employee identification in the combined result set. This will assist the manager into recognising trends as well as identifying topics that are of concern that need actioning/addressing within the team to improve their overall productivity and wellbeing.
For the team members, this allows an intuitive and simple way to provide feedback to questions sent by their managers without leaving their primary productivity and collaborative tool, Microsoft Teams. It has been long known that employees need to feel to be heard to perform at their best and Viva Pulse goes someway to helping companies tackle this issue all from a single platform.
