My Top 10 Tips when using Teams

  1. Join on time or if you are going to be late, please be courteous and send a message apologising beforehand.
  2. Join the call muted, and then switch you microphone on
  3. Dress appropriately for a business call
  4. Try to use a blurred background or a room theme (No one likes to see a messy desk or room, It can be distracting)
  5. Do not eat on camera, it’s a definite NO NO
  6. Try not to interrupt when another person is speaking, Use the virtual Hand if you want to raise a point, or put notes into chat
  7. When sharing information, ensure you are sharing the correct information (Preparation is key.)
  8. When you are not talking always mute yourself as background noise and other peoples conversations will be picked up by other people
  9. If you are recording the meeting, ensure you ask permission of all participants 1st
  10. If you wish to make notes during the meeting use notepad
