Windows 365 – Azure AD Join is here!

Like many of us who were excited to get involved with Windows 365 at an enterprise level, there was a bit of collective groan to find out devices must be Hybrid Azure AD Joined. This meant a connection to an Active Directory environment was needed. Additional networking. Additional complexity. That has now (hopefully) gone! Microsoft announced that Windows 365 Azure AD Join was coming and it was released to Public Preview this month.

Windows 365 can now be fully cloud managed without any requirement of an on-premises environment. With this feature, I think the use cases for Windows 365 will begin to improve.

The following article also provides an update on a localised start-up experience, which can be handy when running Windows 365 globally across several regions.

Check out the article here and start provisioning those Windows 365 Azure AD Joined devices now!
