After nearly two years notice we’re now approaching the July 31st 2021 retirement of Skype for Business Online. Tenants will be automatically upgraded to Microsoft Teams Teams-only mode.
Hopefully you’re benefiting from Microsoft Teams but what happens if you’re not quite ready to switch? Well you can request a 3 month extension in the Teams Admin Center.
Microsoft just ask for a little information such as to the current state of your Teams installation.
Note, this only affects Skype for Business Online users. Skype for Business Server hybrid configurations will continue to be available but users will automatically be converted to Teams-only when migrated from Skype for Business Server.
