All employees have a Microsoft device and access to the latest modern technology to enable employees to work collaboratively from anywhere on any device at any time. Pre COVID-19, over 60% of risual’s workforce was based remote at home or on client site, which increased to 100% remote workforce in March 2020.

risual has created various solutions to help support employee wellbeing and mental health during a challenging time, such as the “virtual risual Olympics wellbeing challenge” and “Coffee and a chat” virtual lunchtime sessions. Whilst providing continuous support for employees, it’s important to supply the appropriate equipment to empower people and teams.

Microsoft autopilot saves time, resource, and costs.

To kick off 2021, risual has launched a device rollout which provided over 110 employees an upgraded device. Each employee will now have received a Microsoft Surface Pro 7 OR Surface 3 Laptop delivered to their doorstep. To complete the rollout, risual took advantage of the Microsoft Windows auto-pilot which meant all devices are shipped directly to individuals’ home from the supplier. This has saved a significant amount of time, resource, and expense. There is also the benefit that no device has been handled by anyone prior to reaching the individuals home to help with a safe delivery during the lockdown restrictions.

Environmentally friendly packaging per device. 64% of packaging is post-consumer recycled content.  

As part of this scheme, one of the key driving factors for choosing these devices was based on risual’s commitment to reduce its carbon footprint. The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 and Surface 3 Laptop has more environmentally friendly packaging. Seamless zero touch auto-pilot device refresh.

Shortly after all devices had been delivered safely to employees, the risual Managed Services Team (rMS) shared access to a seamless end user “how to set up your device” guide. This has been an incredible asset to support with the onboarding and start up process. rMS used Microsoft Yammer for important communications and continue to provide advanced technical support to 110+ employees .

The auto-pilot device refresh scheme has been a seamless experience for all at risual. Credit is definitely due to those working hard behind the scene to provide an excellent end-user service. One employee said “Huge congratulations to the team behind this roll-out. My experience was excellent. Perfect instructions and the device was up and running with all the latest updates in about 50 minutes.  Well done team rMS, and thank you!”. Whilst another employee added, “Really impressed and an excellent case study in the making. I was raving about how smooth and professional this project was on all my customer calls yesterday”.

As always, the risual family did not disappoint and continued to countdown and build up excitement across the internal Yammer platform during the start up process. The people are a critical part of any engagement. It’s been wonderful to see such a seamless and easy rollout for everyone involved.
