The 6 Rs of Resilience

Our HR team has been working hard to focus on the wellbeing of our staff from the risual family day to the Plod to Partners Challenge, there are lots going on. 

They have now introduced the 6 Rs of Resilience, from the British Red Cross, that are able to better prepare you for life and to look after your wellbeing when faced with difficult situations.

Responsibility

Taking personal responsibility for our own mental health, wellbeing and resilience. risual have a duty of care for you, your family and friends care about you, but the person who had to live with you for the rest of your life is you. Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish, it’s sensible.

Reflection

Reflecting on how you are, what is happening and how you are feeling about things.

Relaxation

Relaxing in a way that suits you e.g. jogging, reading a book, mindfulness practice.

Relationships

Building supportive relationships with friends, family or a partner. Know who to turn to when times are difficult.

Refuelling

Eating a healthy diet, being conscious of alcohol intake.

Recreation

Taking regular exercise and having fun.
