SQL Server 2014 SP2 CU12 released

Cumulative update 12 for SQL Server 2014 SP2 has been released by Microsoft!

The following fixes are in this update:

  • 4094893 FIX: Database can’t be dropped after its storage is disconnected and reconnected in SQL Server
  • 4132896 Transaction Log “full” even when there is sufficient space available and Autogrowth is enabled in SQL Server
  • 4057307 FIX: Multidimensional mode randomly crashes and an access violation occurs in SSAS 2016 or in SSAS 2014
  • 4133191 FIX: A memory leak occurs in sqlwepxxx.dll causes the WmiPrvSe.exe process to crash
  • 4019799 FIX: Deadlock when run the “CleanOrphanedPolicies” and “DeleteDataSources” built-in stored procedures together in SSRS 2016
  • 4094706 FIX: Worker thread hangs after another thread is aborted when running a parallel query in SQL Server
  • 4091245 FIX: Access violation occurs when you query a table with an integer column in SQL Server 2017 and SQL Server 2016
  • 3173472 SECURITY_CRYPTO_CONTEXT_MUTEX waits cause SQL Server 2016 to stop responding to client requests in SQL Server 2014 and 2016
  • 4131251 FIX: Thai characters in SSAS for SQL Server exported to a PDF file are displayed incorrectly
  • 4294694 FIX: Access violation when you try to access a table when page compression is enabled on the table in SQL Server
  • 4135113 FIX: Change tracking record is inconsistent during an update on a table that has a clustered or unique index in SQL Server
  • 4230730 FIX: A dead latch condition occurs when you run an online index rebuild or a merge command in SQL Server
  • 4316858 FIX: “Corrupted index” message and server disconnection when an update statistics query uses hash aggregate on SQL Server
  • 4293839 FIX: TDE database goes offline during log flush if you lose connection to the EKM provider in SQL Server
  • 4338204 FIX: Circular dependency between column names for a calculated table that summarizes the partition query dataset in SQL Server
  • 4058175 FIX: TDE-enabled backup and restore are slow if the encryption key is stored in an EKM provider in SQL Server

To apply this update you must be running SQL Server 2014 SP2 and a reboot of the computer may be required. You can download the update here
