Where can I download this and what will it include?
The latest version of Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 10 can be downloaded here. This is a tool that allows IT admins to manage windows server from a remote computer running windows 10. The latest release of RSAT is the ‘WS_1803’ package however Microsoft have still made the previous versions available to download.
There are multiple files that you have the option to download which become available once you click the ‘Download’ button. These files include:
- WindowsTH-RSAT_WS_1709-x64.msu
- WindowsTH-RSAT_WS_1709-x86.msu
- WindowsTH-RSAT_WS_1803-x64.msu
- WindowsTH-RSAT_WS_1803-x86.msu
- WindowsTH-RSAT_WS2016-x64.msu
- WindowsTH-RSAT_WS2016-x86.msu
System Requirements
The operating system has to be Windows 10 however this is limited to only the full release of:
- Windows 10 Professional
- Windows 10 Enterprise
- Windows 10 Education
This means that it cannot be installed on Windows RT, computers with a ARM architecture or other system on chip devices. This will run on both x86 and x64 editions of Windows 10.
Microsoft have made this available in the following languages: cs-CZ, de-DE, en-US, es-ES, fr-FR, hu-HU, it-IT, ja-JP, ko-KR, nl-NL, pl-PL, pt-BR, pt-PT, ru-RU, sv-SE, tr-TR, zh-CN, and zh-TW. If you do not speak one of these languages then you must download the windows language pack first.
Please note that you will need to remove all old versions of RSAT before you install the latest updated version.
