risual assigned as Service Delivery managers to assist a fire and rescue client in migrating their Skype Enterprise Voice on-premise infrastructure to Microsoft Teams Online.

During the ongoing engagement, the client asked for advice on how to fit meeting rooms with audio visual equipment. The Chief Fire Officer had tasked the team to fit its conferencing suite with a wireless discussion and delegate systems.

The fire and rescue organisation often hosted a mixture of in-person and virtual events which needed to be broadcast to the general public (the client wanted this to be optional to ensure secure data can remain private and confidential). To add to the organisation’s worry, a lot of its clients are in the over-50 to elderly age group, some of which suffer with hearing implications, therefore the solution needed to have an option to amplify voices when they were talking. This needed to occur both virtually and in the meeting room itself.

95% of the attendees will not have an organisation device to connect to Microsoft Teams, so it needed to be accessible by those external to the organisation.

Microsoft Teams Rooms was recommended by our risual Service Delivery team. The engaged Service Delivery manager began explaining this in further detail. In partnership with Microsoft, we engaged our technical experts to ensure that the client understands the whole capabilities of the technology.

A comprehensive proposal was created and delivered to the client. Our proposal included:

  • Creston, Bosch, Bose and LG devices
  • Touch to speak microphones
  • Professional services for implementation
  • 12 months support

The client was extremely impressed with the proposal and work was set to start the following week.
