A local council was having issues accessing data within the cloud with its previous Active Directory (AD) domain. The directory contains valuable information such as employees’ personal details and authentication details. The council wanted to ensure it could transfer to Microsoft 365 apps for enterprise as well as using Modern Device Management with Windows 10, Autopilot and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), managed with the use of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
risual provided an analysis of the council’s current MECM to understand the issues. Security issues were identified and the requirement of a new MECM was established by risual. The main requirement of the client was the ability to use Autopilot and Intune to reduce time management spend on its devices and increase overall productivity.
A new system was implemented with all the co-management integration enabled and all issues surrounding the previous MECM environment are now resolved. The organisation can use up-to-date features such as Autopilot and cloud management to ensure the data is secured. The devices used are receiving regular updates to the Microsoft OS and 365 Apps for Enterprise using Windows Update for Business, allowing an agile business model.
The council are experiencing the benefits of its new implementation and can receive further adjustments to its systems if required.
