An international consumer organisation was struggling to implement corporate IT facilities within its production factories. The organisation wanted to include these facilities for several reasons such as employee engagement and HR purposes. The former process led to internal issues such as “Shadow IT”, in which employees used IT solutions on their own, without the support of IT experts. This type of process can lead to poor data security and technical problems within the organisation.
