Microsoft Secure Score

With the development of technology and IOT (internet of things) on a global scale, all kinds of security risks have evolved accordingly. In 2020 globally, a company faced around 22 security breaches on average per year and this number is likely to increase further in the coming years (Accenture, 2020).

That same year, research has shown that over 86% of UK (United Kingdom) businesses experienced a phishing attack in 2020 (Cyber Security Breaches Survey, 2020). Most importantly, did you know that 95% of security breaches are due to human error? (Cybint, 2021). Now just imagine the difference you could make for an organisation if you were to reduce that number using the right tools.

In most cases, it takes several months for a company to fully detect and contain a security breach, so most organisations prefer to prevent these risks by adopting the appropriate solution. Being prepared againts cyber threats does not necessarily have to be complicated. With the right level of support and expert advice from a security provider, each organisation can implement some advanced solutions able to protect all data.

It is time to review your security posture with the Microsoft Secure Score. The Secure Score provides Microsoft 365 users with a security function, offering an insight into their current level of protection. As mentioned in the name, this service also gives you an estimated “score” out of 100 on your security posture. Secure Score will provide you with the means necessary to improve your posture with detailed insights and guidance.

To view your Secure Score, you must have an administrative role within your organisation’s Microsoft 365.  So, it’s up to you to decide who is granted access to this function. Your IT department can access and manage the features, but you can also include other users you can easily understand the solution with some training.

Based on your objectives and requirements, Secure Score will offer relevant suggestions to improve your security posture. You will know exactly where and when to deploy resources that will directly improve your organisation.
