Get ready to add more mixed reality functionality to your business applications using Mixed Reality (MR). Measure distances and volumes in real-time using the “Measure in MR” component coming to Power Apps in February 2021. These include adding pre-defined 3D shapes or other 2D and 3D polygons. Any measurements captured through Mixed Reality are passed back through to the Power App to be entered into your data sources of choice including Dataverse (renamed from Common Data Service). Additionally, custom objects can be added to your Mixed Reality space.

At this time, we’re unsure what this could hold but we’re expecting more functionality that helps developers interact with Power App Portals and add features your help your client base finds what they’re after.
