End Microsoft Teams meetings as the organiser

The usual method of ending a Microsoft Teams meeting is the obvious big red phone button. However, this isn’t always the ideal choice as this will simply result in you leaving the meeting whilst it is still running.

A new feature recently rolled out by Microsoft allows meeting organisers to end the meeting for all attendees. To do this you simply need to click on the more actions menu (the 3 dots) and you will be presented with a number of options:

As you can see you now how have the “End meeting” option in Microsoft Teams. Selecting this will end the call for all participants. This is handy as it doesn’t leave any participants in the call when you, the organiser, leaves. It also provides a more succinct conclusion to your meetings, something you definitely want if you’re recording at the same time.
