Sometimes you may have a requirement to export a VHD file from Azure, whether that may be for moving the VHD to another subscription or mounting it on a local machine.
You can quickly do this via the Azure Portal in the following few steps
- Log onto the Azure Portal and Navigate to Disks
- Select the Disk you need to export and select Disk Export
- Set a time in seconds that you would like the download link to be available for and select Generate URL
- You will now be given a URL that you can use to download the VHD!
