We recently had an issue with one of the servers we monitor via SCOM , we had a heartbeat failure from a server and the SCOM Health service had stopped.
When going to start the SCOM service it failed and we were given the below error in the operation monitor event log:
“HealthService (130072) Health Service Store: Database recovery/restore failed with unexpected error -543.”
This was a relatively simple on to fix , all we did was clear the SCOM agent cache:
- Navigate to the SCOM Agent Program Files
- Default is – C:Program FilesSystem Center Operations ManagerAgentHealthservicestate
- Delete all files within this folder
- Default is – C:Program FilesSystem Center Operations ManagerAgentHealthservicestate
Now you should be able to start the SCOM health service with no issues J
