Since the release of the Office 2013 preview last week, some users running Outlook 2013 have found that when the “Empty Deleted Items Folder” Cleanup Tools option is enabled, genuine mail items are deleted on exit. Some users have been able to retrieve the files via “Recover Deleted Items”. Be aware that this is beta software before running it in a production environment.
