Our Opportunities

We are looking for talented graduates to join us to further build our application development, consulting and sales functions:

Software Developer – you will be responsible for producing high quality code across a range of projects and technologies, working alongside other developers, UX Designers and Testers to produce state-of-the-art solutions based upon the latest technologies across the Microsoft stack. Our Developers work using a variety of agile methodologies and follow the DevOps process to shorten development cycles, increase deployment frequency, provide more dependable releases, all in close alignment with business or customer objectives.

Project Manager – We will provide you with the training and support to enable you to be responsible for managing the delivery of projects full life cycle, building relationships with customer delivery teams and working with risual Architects, Consultants, other Project and Engagement Managers on customer site, and our Project Office at risual HQ. In time, you will be accountable for the project and programme while creating delivery plans, as well as providing regular progress updates to the customer to ensure we are completing the project within budget, time and quality.

Business Analyst – you will work with customers to understand their business objectives, processes and transformational requirements. The role is to ensure that customer’s projects deliver on the business transformation that is captured during the project initiation. This could include both technical and non-technical solutions – you will work with our wider technical project teams to ensure this is delivered.

Sales Graduate – With the opportunity to specialise in a certain area of our services, or sell across the breadth of our offering, you will develop strong relationships with existing and new customers to generate opportunities, which you will convert into sales.

Our graduate programme is twelve months in duration, and will give you insight to all areas of our business. During the programme you will be based in Stafford, with regular UK travel to customer sites.

Are you our perfect fit?

You will have achieved (or will be expected to achieve) your Batchelors degree (or equivalent) at 2:1 or above. We appreciate that not everyone enters a career directly related to the degree they have undertaken, and we are happy to consider applications from a variety of disciplines. If you are interested in our Software Developer role, you will be expected to demonstrate coding experience. You will also be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to effectively problem solve, and have high attention to detail.

Enterprise Architect

Home based, with regular UK travel to customer sites

The Role

As an Enterprise Architect at risual you will be expected to provide strategic IT direction to a customer and overall technical governance on the projects that they are involved in. You will also be expected to work across multiple projects and customers providing governance, oversight, thought leadership and strategic foresight as necessary to ensure the right outcome for customers.

The Enterprise Architect must work with the Engagement Manager to manage projects to a successful conclusion, including technical and business outcomes, as well as own the technology and quality elements of a project where the Engagement Manager owns the timeline and cost. The Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining a target architecture for a customer and then developing an IT strategy to deliver it. A critical element of an engagement with an Enterprise Architect is to define clear business and strategic benefits that determine the associated IT solutions that are proposed and delivered. This could be new business capability or improved allocation of IT budgets through the correct licensing model.

The Enterprise Architect works with the customer to ensure they understand the transition and effects on their business, assisting them in driving the adoption of the new capabilities being deployed across the organisation and defining any impact on their target operating model ensuring the solution continues to drive business value throughout its lifecycle.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will:

  • Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Have a business strategy focus and understand how technology can assist
  • Have excellent communications skills, written and verbal; confident in communicating clearly with people at all levels of technical knowledge and seniority
  • Ideally be from a technical consultancy background having previously worked on customer sites designing and delivering Microsoft solutions
  • Have knowledge of TOGAF architecture framework and ITIL principles
  • Have a focus on delivery, leading the project towards completion within a structured framework
  • Have a good, broad understanding of Microsoft technologies with experience in delivering Microsoft technologies through the full project lifecycle
  • Have experience in delivering effective technical and business presentations to large audiences including at CxO level
  • Be able to identify business and technology requirements through a consultative process with both technical and non-technical people within a customer’s environment
  • Be capable of documenting technical detail simply and in a way that highlights the business and technical benefits
  • Have experience of working with business users and selling the benefits of the project
  • Have experience of managing senior stakeholders

External Account Manager

Home based, with UK travel to customer sites

The Role

You will be part of our fast-paced Sales team working to meet or exceed assigned sales targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. In this role you will need to ensure control of sales opportunities and be predictable and accurate through regular sales forecasting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. You will have use of all risual tools to effectively plan, execute/engage and represent yourself to the required standard, including the use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. You will also need to keep in regular contact with key individuals within the assigned accounts and meet the standard defined.

You will be expected to sell a minimum of £100K per month of risual services to your assigned accounts consisting of consulting services, managed services, solutions and skills offerings. It will be your responsibility to manage relationships and sell risual services to assigned customer and prospect accounts (between 25 to 50 accounts in total) as well as follow up on leads that are generated through risual’s marketing activities.

This role is home based and may involve some occasional travel to customer sites and risual head office

Sales Apprentice

Based at risual HQ, Stafford

£12,305 p.a.

The Role

This role will involve working within the Sales department supporting our sales management team and sales professionals during a 12-month apprenticeship. This is a key role within our team, providing support and demonstrating excellent customer service internally to our sales professions in the areas of sales administration, and both internally and externally when supporting bids and tenders and promoting events and initiatives.

The role of risual Apprentice will include to:

• Update sales opportunities in risual’s internal CRM system
• Generate quotes and proposals for customers
• Book sales orders in our internal systems
• Liaise with risual’s Project Management Office to ensure smooth transition of orders into risual’s delivery functions
• Provide the customer facing interface for all sales queries into risual, providing excellent customer service
• Help to schedule internal and customer review of risual’s Customer Account and Partnership Plans (CAPP) which the Account Director owns for their customer
• Schedule customer meetings and calls with appropriate member of the sales team, risual’s delivery teams, Microsoft sales staff and customers to progress Microsoft Public Cloud success plans
• Booking CAPP review meetings internally and externally
• Help to ensure that Account Charters are being upheld through follow-up of actions with sales team members.

Microsoft Sales Specialist

Home based, with regular UK travel to customer sites

The Role

You will be part of our fast-paced Sales team, working to meet or exceed assigned practice targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. In this role, you will work with the risual Account Management sellers to help them to increase pipeline and ensure that deals close in a timely fashion. You will also be required to execute on agreed sales and marketing campaigns to drive new sales opportunities. You will have access to and be able to use all the risual tools to effectively plan, execute/engage and represent yourself to the required standard including the use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. As a Microsoft Sales Specialist, you will ensure that whitespace for risual solutions is effectively covered across all managed active and inactive customer accounts. You will also manage a portfolio of solution areas, including requirements gathering, design of solutions and updates/enhancements to content, including writing of functional specifications and maintaining product roadmaps.

This role is home based and may involve some occasional travel to customer sites and risual head office.

As a Consultant within risual, you will design, configure and implement cutting edge enterprise technology solutions to provide our customers with a technology foundation for success. With a clear focus on delivering the best value, you will work through the complete consulting life-cycle, including (but not limited to):

Customer liaison to project requirements, scope and integration with existing systems
Development, configuration, integration, testing, optimisation, implementation and debug of bespoke customer solutions
Testing of software applications or hardware devices that may be deployed to enhance solution
Resolve technical issues and offer proactive technical support
Development of tools that may be used by others to help provision, manage or troubleshoot deployments
Documentation of solutions to ensure support teams and other consultants can participate in support and onward development

This role is home based and will involve some travel to customer sites (approximately 50%), as well as remote project consulting work.

About You
You will have proven and referable experience of designing and implementing OSD/Client Management solutions including:

MCSE or MCSA qualification
Client OS deployment and configurations (including Windows 7/8.1/10)
Management of Client OS via Microsoft (Autopilot / SCCM / Group Policy)

You will have excellent communication skills, have the ability to explain complex systems clearly, and demonstrate a strong customer focus, involving managing customer and stakeholder expectations. In addition, you will have strong documentation skills and an ability to effectively problem solve, should any issues arise within your projects. An understanding and the application of security principles in cloud technologies is also required.

Business Analyst

Home based, with regular UK travel to customer sites

The Role

As a Business Analyst at risual you will work with a customer to understand their business objectives, processes and transformational requirements. The role is to ensure that customer’s projects deliver on the business transformation that is captured during the project initiation. This could include both technical and non-technical solutions.

The Business Analyst will often work within a risual project team and should be focused on supporting the overall objectives of the project. Therefore, they will need to effectively communicate with both customers and risual colleagues as well as third parties where required in order to ensure that the business aspects of a project are fully understood and embedded within the project delivery.

This role is home based and will involve some travel to customer sites (approximately 50%)

About You

You will have referenceable experience of performing business process health-checks and proposing improvements, working with software development teams through the full project lifecycle and working with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.

You should hold, or be working towards, one of the following certifications (or equivalent):

• Chartered Institute for IT – Business Analyst
• International Institute of Business Analysis – Certified Business Analysis Professional

In addition, you will have excellent communication skills, written and verbal and be confident in communicating clearly with people at all levels of knowledge and seniority.

Consultant – Platform Infrastructure
