At Microsoft Ignite the Remote Desktop Web Client was first announced, this has been made to provide access to virtual apps and desktops from the browser without any need to install a client on a machine. This feature allows businesses to have consistent experiences across devices as well as not having to worry about maintenance costs.

The first release of the web client allows access to apps and desktops that are published via the Remote Desktop Services deployment feature. The web client can be added to an existing Remote Desktop Services deployment that’s running Windows Server 2016 and will be available with the existing RDWeb page.
