2016 Year in Review: Board Overview

rich-alAlun Rogers & Richard Proud, Founders & Directors at risual

As we continue to grow as a company, we have had to overcome some new challenges that come with such growth, while maintaining true to our roots as an ethical and honest organisation who put the customer first every time.

This year we were selected as a finalist from the thousands of world-wide partners for our ongoing work in the public sector. We are very proud and humbled to be recognised for our good work by Microsoft. Building on from a hugely successful 2015, where we won numerous awards including, Microsoft UK Partner of the Year, it’s fantastic to continue that success and be recognised on a global scale for the innovation and transformation we have been delivering to some of the most critical public services in the country.

Continuing, our apprenticeship scheme was awarded as the Best Apprenticeship Scheme award at the CRN Sales and Marketing awards 2016. At risual we identified that the digital skills shortage is a massive problem facing firms today. Therefore, we continuously commit ourselves to fill this gap with our promise to offer an apprenticeship scheme like no other. Armed with a genuine passion to give young people opportunities, we embarked on a mission to create our own apprenticeship academy to cultivate new talent through apprenticeships.

For our consultants, it was certainly the year of the cloud, with more and more organisations realising the benefits of Microsoft Azure and what it can offer. risual has become something of a ‘go-to’ partner for advice on how to get the most from the cloud, and how to get there quickly, securely and efficiently.

Our partnership with Microsoft has been stronger than ever, as we worked on a series of bleeding edge projects, some of which had never been attempted before, and I’m proud to see the success and rewards of these projects. We also had another successful year at Future Decoded, where we welcomed over 10,000 visitors onto the risual stand, and showcased our consulting, managed services and solutions to thousands of people.

We now look forward to 2017, where we will see continued growth, expansion and success.  2016 has laid the foundation for our further growth and for many long-term engagements with customers. We reshaped the structure of our consulting team to cope with demand as well as establishing our solution propositions into their respective markets.
