risual Rovers have re-grouped after last year’s defeat at Everton’s Goodison Park and are heading to Manchester City’s Etihad Academy “City Football” for the annual Greater Manchester Police charity football match on Wednesday 20th May 2015. The charity event will be raising money for Retrak, a charity that works with street children in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Greater Manchester Police, are supporting work that sees street children given the opportunity to be returned home if it is safe to do so and helps their families generate a regular income.

“Retrak reaches out to the children who have been forgotten by their communities and children who have no one else to turn to. risual are honoured to be asked to take part in the GMP charity football match for the third year in a row for such a great cause.”

Richard Proud, risual Rovers Manager and Co-Founder of risual Limited.

Both Greater Manchester Police and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have supported Retrak since 2009 and have raised over £150k in total. This year’s football competition will support lessons, sports and activities as well as helping to renovate the centres the charity use to support their work in these countries. If successful, risual Rovers will then go forward to play in the semi-finals and final at Old Trafford on Saturday 23rd May 2015.
